Dakar II, Two Decades of Progress, Challenges and Perspectives in Ending Malaria.
20 years after the first MIM conference, Senegal will host the 7th edition, in Dakar, at the International Conference Centre Abdou Diouf on April15-20, 2018. The Multilateral Initiative on Malaria (MIM) was established in 1997 with a mission to strengthen and sustain through collaborative research and training, the capacity of malaria-endemic countries in Africa to carry out research that is required to develop and improve tools for malaria control and to strengthen the research-control interphase.
This 7th edition of the MIM Conference will be an excellent opportunity to showcase your research on malaria control and elimination. You are invited to submit abstracts detailing your most recent research findings on the main theme of the conference and / or on one of the following thematic areas:

All abstracts must be submitted by September 30, 2017.

Twenty years after the first MIM Conference which drew attention to major questions for malaria research, and identify ways to strengthen and sustain the research capacity of malaria endemic countries in Africa, several countries in Africa are now engaging towards malaria elimination. Impact series describes how Senegal achieves a spectacular drop in its malaria burden.
The exemplarity of the collaboration between scientists, the National Malaria program and partners is a key of the success.
